Behind the Scenes of Designing Collection Two (told through GIFs)

Hello!
For the past several months, we have been working on our second necktie collection and are nearing our reveal. YAAAAAY!
We want to let you in on a little behind the scenes action as to how we select our women muses and tackle the design process. With a little help from Giphy, we are taking you through the many steps and accompanying emotions we experienced when designing our second collection of neckties.
Welcome into our world :)
xoxo, andieanderin
1. Sit down to first discuss collection two
2. Run through our massive list of amazing women to pick our muses
3. Think we need to design at least a dozen new neckties because there is NO WAY to pick just a few!!!
4. We each pick one lady that we consider a MUST HAVE in the new collection
5. Start selecting more women to inspire collection two
6. Already have too many women, but we want to design for them all!
7. Have to start narrowing down the list. An impossible task.
8. At events, and in everyday discussion, start asking women who inspires them most
9. We revisit our list - question whether we should change anyone
10. Research, research, research. We know of these women, but now we want to know everything about them
11. Get lost in in our research, checking all streaming options for documentaries, because, let's face it, they are the best
12. Now watching a video of Dolly Parton performing Coat of Many Colors and wondering how she can strum her guitar with those nails...she is just amazing!
13. Back to our list of women, late in the game, but we change out one or two of our women muses
14. We jam on design sessions. Fabric, color, size, style, trims...
15. Sketch custom textile prints
16. Lock down designs
17. Sew up samples to test new designs
18. Start sourcing materials and working with production
19. Iterate on designs
20. Wear samples around and get feedback from people
21. We give final approvals and production starts
22. Now we move on to our storyboards - writing like crazy
23. Back to sketching, but this time of the muses for their storyboard. Usually leads to multiple sketches and questioning every line. Gotta do these women justice!
24. Then off to the printers
the end :)
