There is an extreme shortage of sweetheart candies this Valentine's Day. With the closure and subsequent sale of the NECCO candy factory (New England Confectionery Company Factory), there are no new Sweetheart candies being produced this year. So..if you are looking for a heart shaped love note candy, you will have to turn to Brach's. 

But no need to fear. It appears the new NECCO owners, Spangler (think Dum Dum lollipops), will be bringing back the nostalgic candies in 2020.

If Spangler is looking for suggestions of new sayings to press into Sweethearts and character count isn't of concern, we are thinking they should do a special Galentine's edition. Below are some suggestions - and, maybe this year, in lieu of no new Sweetheart candies, you can send a digital heart :) Feel free to copy, paste, print or send the below Galentine's Sweethearts <3
