International Women's Day was Epic (Photo Gallery)

This past Friday, March 8 was International Women's Day. It was truly an EPIC day for us at andieanderin.
We put a call out to all our customers to ask if they could wear their power necktie on International Women's Day, snap a pic, and share it out on instagram while tagging us.
The response was more than we could have EVER asked for.
We literally had to hold back tears as we saw the pictures post throughout the day. To honor our #necktietribe and to never forget how monumental this day was for us, we are sharing the pictures below!
In addition to seeing these incredible photos all day, we also had a few highlights. STYLECASTER included not one, but two of our neckties in their 39 Items to Shop this International Women's Day that Actually Support Women, Seattle's Evening Magazine reran our television interview from March of 2018 in honor of International Women's Day, and Kimberly Jenkins, Pratt lecturer and fashion researcher, wore our 'Women that Add Up' necktie on stage at SXSW during her session: 'Feminist Rising: Why Brands Must Take a Stand'.
Unfortunately, we weren't able to be together on International Women's Day, but that did allow us to get involved on both coasts. Cara co-hosted an intimate brunch with Sydney Mintle from Gossip and Glamour. Bringing together a group of powerhouse women from Seattle. Lisa attended an International Women's Day event at Civic Hall in New York City where Women's March Global, Equality Now, Techfest Club, Yes She Can, and Emerge America were among the speakers. Andieanderin was one of only two brands asked to sell product at the event, which was an honor.
Technically, International Women's Day is designated to one day, but Lisa was able to participate in two additional Women's Day events throughout the week. The Female Founder Collective hosted a small event titled, 'Wide Awake: A Day for Female Founders' in which they brought together women entrepreneurs in NYC to network and attend enrichment courses. Fashion Designer, Rebecca Minkoff and the founders of the Skimm, Danielle Weisberg and Carly Zakin were among the speakers - just a little EXCITING! Lastly, Vital Voices and Diane von Furstenberg hosted their annual New York City Mentoring Walk, which was one of 157 mentoring walks that were happening globally. We were able to have one-on-one mentoring while walking The High Line, and closed by listening to a panel that included not only DVF, but journalist, Tina Brown! If this sounds of interest to you, we highly encourage you to see if a walk is happening in your area next year.
OK! Back to the incredible photos of our #necktietribe rocking their power neckties for International Women's Day!! Thank you again to everyone that participated and supports andieanderin.
xoxo,
Cara and Lisa
