Press Release: New Fashion Start-up, andieanderin, Launch Kickstarter Campaign for Women and Girls Necktie Collection Designed After Influential Women

PRESS RELEASE
What do Beyonce, Frida, Hillary Clinton, Malala Yousafzai, Michelle Obama, Mother Teresa, and Oprah have in common? They are all trailblazers in their own right, but they are also the inspiration to andieanderin’s first necktie collection.
Seattle, WA. (November 7, 2017) - It is time for the pussybow, or more appropriately named: the women’s necktie, to again have its day in the fashion spotlight. andieanderin, a new start-up manufacturer created by two passionate friends, is launching its first necktie collection for women and girls that is designed to celebrate some of the most influential women from history and today. The first collection is available through pre-order on Kickstarter and includes one-of-a-kind designs representing the fabulousness of Beyonce Knowles-Carter, Frida Kahlo, Hillary Clinton, Malala Yousafzai, Michelle Obama, Mother Teresa, and Oprah Winfrey.
It was just one year ago that Hillary Clinton nearly broke the highest glass ceiling and created a movement that resembles the fight for women’s rights from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. Now, like the 80’s, when the pussybow emerged alongside the power suit as work attire for women to fit into the male-run business environments, andieanderin is bringing it back, but this time it is meant to make women and girls standout of the crowd.
“We hope that by tying one of these little ladies around your neck, women and girls can channel the superpower of these amazing women,” expressed Cara Ingham, cofounder. “And they don’t need to be reserved just for a blouse. Our designs are meant to motivate whether you want to tie it around a hoodie or wear it loosely with a t-shirt, these neckties are versatile and meant to make a statement.”
To complement each necktie, andieanderin include a storyboard that illustrates the accomplishments of the woman the necktie is designed to emulate.
Additionally, with each necktie sale, andieanderin will donate a portion of the proceeds to an organization that is supporting the empowerment of women and girls, starting with the amazing Step Up charity organization. Through mentorship and after-school programs, Step Up works with young women to prepare them for life after high school, empowering teens to become confident, college-bound and career-focused.
“The work we are doing through andieanderin lifts me up daily. I could lose myself for hours in researching all these amazing women and are thrilled to marry their accomplishments with the design of a stunning necktie. I hope this project can grow legs and be something we continually pour our heart into,” states cofounder, Lisa Santos.
The andieanderin Kickstarter campaign has a crowdfund goal of $7,500 and will be open for one month. If the goal is met, funds will be used in the final production costs of the first collection as well to help kick-start the second collection, which will encompass a broader range of design and a new set of fabulous women. Deliveries of the first collection are currently estimated for December 2017.
